OUIL402 PP1: Visual Research

I think it looks cool with the brown/sepia look - colour scheme is something to look into- the traditional colour scheme vurses a juxtaposition between subject matter and a more controversial up to date approach/colours

Also could think about depicting modern day japanese girls 

I was also thinking about how I could vary the way my illustrations are presented, for example on products such as boxes/combs/fans and makeup/wash bags... 

OUIL402 PP1: Initial Research

I started off my research by looking into photography and images of Geisha online. 

I have created a board on Pinterest for some of my inspiration and reference images for this project:

I then googled Geisha as a starting point and found a reliable website that explained a lot about the custom and traditional culture of Japan and it's people.
